XIX. Pablo’s Dog

Pablo, as in Pablo Picasso. No, I have no idea what his dog looked like- I think he actually had cats. It’s Pablo’s dog as it was done in a cubist style- if he had a dog (and who’s saying he didn’t?) then he might represent it like this. I was going for the geometric shapes again, in the nose, the square spots, and the triangular legs as well as the very triangular trees. Not sure I accomplished what I set out to do, but I like the dog nevertheless and that’s what it’s all about. What is it with my obsession with geometric shapes in my pieces? I don’t know, just a phase I guess. Overall, I’ll score it a solid 4.5 out of 5; while I like the trees I had hoped the dog would have come out a little more “cube-y”.
