II. Sewing Notions

Having been a little annoyed with the color variations in the mouse, I fell back on plain old boringly predictable Indiana limestone. Sure, it’s gray and blah, but it holds details well without “flaking off” and frustrating the crap out of you as you try and carve the details. So yeah, it’s what you think it is, a spool of thread, a thimble, some buttons, and that thing that helps you thread a needle. I don’t know what that is called exactly, but if you know, you know. It turned out okay, The spool is straight, the thimble is a bit larger than actual but I wanted some detail, buttons worked out, and that thing for threading a needle even worked out, although it is thicker than the real thing and it was tough to represent the little wire at the end. If you want realism go to JoAnn’s. On a scale of 1 to 5 for satisfaction, I’d give it a 4.

Unfortunately I had not yet added my little tag to the bottom with my e-mail so whomever found it could let me know. I guess it will forever be a mystery.
